Dear Surgeon Colleagues,
Kerala Surgical Journal is going through the process of submitting application for indexation. Various formalities have to be adhered to in the procedure. The number of original articles and review articles is taken into consideration in an annual distribution. Timely publications, proper process of submission and review by competent reviewers and the quality of the Editorial board and reviewers are taken into consideration. No member of the editorial board should have any connection with illegitimate publishing agencies.
I believe that we have over the years established a stable publishing system with proper format of reviewing and process of publication. I am grateful to the Editorial board and the reviewers for the extensive support that they are giving for the Journal.
We have been scrutinising the performance of the reviewers. I am happy to mention that two of the reviewers have been selected for the 'BEST REVIEWERS of 2021'. They are Dr Achal Gupta, India, and Dr Philip Oommen, Oman. I congratulate both of you.
Longevity of any Journal lies in the patronage of the authors. The Journal accepts original articles related to surgery from any surgeon from any part of the world. However, it should mostly benefit the upcoming surgeons of the state.
May I request all aspiring authors to submit the papers online through the website at review.jow.medknow.ksj.
With best regards to all and sincere prayers for a COVID-free world for the future.
